Gate fittings - comprehensive selection
Shutter hinges and clamps are used to pivot garden gates and posts. Our wide range includes a variety of designs.
Practice has shown that for single gates, shutter hinges with a Ø 13 mm roller and a total length of 500 mm are normally used. For double doors, shutter hinges with a Ø 16 mm roller and a total length of 700 mm are used.
What is a shutter belt?
Slat conveyors are differentiated according to roller diameters and lengths. The smaller the roller diameter, the smaller the material used - both in width and thickness. The length depends on the material dimensions and is naturally greater the heavier and stronger the material used. The assortment ranges from shutter tapes with Ø 10 mm roller diameter made of material 33 x 3 mm and the shortest length 300 mm to shutter tapes made of material 60 x 8 mm with Ø 20 mm roller and a total length of 1400 mm.
Why do I need an adjustable shutter hinge?
Practice shows that garden gates settle over time, i.e. the post loosens or comes up due to frost, so that the gate no longer sits correctly aligned between the posts. Adjustable shutter hinges provide a remedy here. The special design allows the door to be adjusted in the assembled state. Only adjusting nuts have to be loosened and tightened again after alignment. This is a great advantage because you can immediately see or measure with a spirit level whether the door is exactly aligned during the adjustment work. The adjustable shutter hinges are available in total lengths of approx. 470 mm and 670 mm and come complete with a screw-on clamp.
What are hooks?
Shutter and angle hinges are hung in hooks, also called clamps. Here, too, a variety of designs are available. The most important are the hooks on plate, which are available without and with a surcharge. The distance between the mandrel and the screw-on plate is approx. 10 mm (for DI) or approx. 25 mm (for DII). DI hooks with a cranked hinge are always used when the door and gate are to be mounted flush with the jamb. DII hooks with overlap are used if, for example, it is a cellar door that has an overhanging overlap.
Why do I need adjustable hooks?
An adjustable hook on plate is also available, which allows the adjustment of already mounted gates. For this purpose, as with the adjustable shutter hinge, the nuts are loosened, the gate is aligned and the nuts are then tightened again.

Cross and throw hangers
Cross and throw hangers are used for simple board doors, cellar doors and gates.

Shutter hinges
Shutter hinges are used for solid and heavy doors, single and double doors as well as slap shutters. The length of the shutter hinge should be at least 2/3 of the width of the door.
