  • Swing hook with wood thread: must be screwed in a minimum of 10 mm beyond the thread (70 mm) into the wooden beam so that the bending moment, the main load, does not act on the thread. The wooden beam must be at least 80 mm thick: For a 12 mm swing hook, a 9 mm drill must be used to drill to a depth of 75 mm. For a 10 mm swing hook, it must be pre-drilled to a depth of 50 mm with a 7 mm drill. In the event of dry cracks in the wood in the area of the boreholes, the hooks must be removed as there is a risk that the hooks could break due to the notch effect.
  • Swing hook in masonry: If the wire is 10 mm thick, the S 12 dowel plug must be used to secure the swing hook in masonry;if the wire is 12 mm thick, the S 14 dowel plug must be used. The swing hook must be screwed into the dowel plug 15 mm beyond the thread. The dowel opening must be flush with the wall.
  • Important: For all methods of fastening, the eyelets of the swing hooks must be transverse to the direction of the swing. All locations that are in contact with metal parts must always be well lubricated. All of the load-bearing parts of a swing must be inspected regularly. Only use in pairs.
